Located in a downtown, residential neighborhood in the heart of San Diego, The Cottage is located in a private garden behind our home.
Amenities
San Diego's abundant sun is our energy source. Solar panels, installed in 2003, provide all our electricity. A king size bed, full bath and full kitchen create a comfortable hideaway.
Walk
Our neighborhood is considered one of the best walking neighborhoods in the United States.

Where You Can Go
- Walk two miles to the southeast to reach Balboa Park. Walking through Balboa Park you will find The Old Globe Theatre, museums, gardens, restaurants and relaxation. Continue your walk past the botanical garden and the fountains through Spanish Village, a community of artists, toward the San Diego Zoo.
- Walk three miles south to reach the Gaslamp District on your way to the Convention Center, Seaport Village and the Embarcadero where the Star of India is moored along with other vessels in the Maritime Museum. Heading west you will pass the U.S.S.Midway museum, the Fish Market as well as ever changing “Urban Trees” along San Diego Bay.
- Walk west two miles to Old Town. You could continue on to Sea World along the San Diego River.
- Walk a few blocks north to the medical center of San Diego county where Scripps Mercy Hospital and UCSD Medical Center are located.
